This is an attitude I have tried (and am still trying) to adopt over the last couple of years. I didn’t have many female friends in school because of the fear of how they could hurt me — but as an adult, one who is particularly lacking in female mentors, I am realizing how important it is, not just for my career but also for my overall happiness and satisfaction with life, to have strong relationships with other women.

Thank you for calling this out.
