I also often find myself being the only woman in a room, but I haven’t quite found the courage or strength to embrace it. I still feel like I’m constantly at risk of confirming stereotypes of women as ‘non-technical’ or worse… When I accepted my job, I was accepting a career and a source of income — not the opportunity to represent my entire gender to an organization of others.
